3ICE Announces Partnership With Verbero Focusing on Equipment And Apparel

Verbero and 3ICE are pioneering innovation and progression within the game of hockey by forming an exciting new partnership

NEW YORK (September 25, 2020) – 3ICE today announced Verbero’s ‘Be Different’ approach to equipment technology and market retail will support 3ICE, the new and totally independent, three-on-three professional ice hockey league when the puck drops on its inaugural season during the summer of 2021.

Verbero’s innovative team-direct sales system will supply 3ICE hockey players and coaches with quality-grade equipment, game wear and apparel when the games begin. 3ICE athletes will be fit with Verbero gloves, pants, goalie gear, jerseys, socks and off-ice gear, while highly engineered and bespoke helmets will be provided by KAV.

“We are beyond excited to partner with 3ICE and value the cohesive approach to performance, innovation, cost and access,” Verbero CEO and Owner Andy Sutton said.

To make the league more accessible to its fans, Verbero and 3ICE will also make all its equipment and goods available to the public through Verbero’s Online Team Store Program.

“During my 15 seasons in the NHL, I was ever aware of the good and the bad associated with product, technology and flawed, long-standing sales models,” Sutton said. “Verbero is different and we pride ourselves on being able to put innovation, value and access in the same sentence.”

Ingenuity, skill and creativity are at the forefront of 3ICE’s 3-on-3 tournament-style format, with eight teams competing against one another in single-elimination circuits. Games will be played on full-sized rinks with two eight-minute periods and a running clock. To showcase the talent of the league, penalty shots will be awarded rather than two-minute minor penalties.

“We will relentlessly pursue every opportunity to support the partnership with progressive goods and services as well as access to the actual products the players are using at industry-leading, team-direct pricing to everyone,” added Sutton.

Eight esteemed names within the game of hockey have been appointed as head coaches for 3ICE’s debut season. The coaches include Guy Carbonneau, Grant Fuhr, Angela Ruggiero, Ed Johnston, John LeClair, Joe Mullen, Larry Murphy and Bryan Trottier.

“We’re all about new thinking, new technology and innovation at 3ICE. The people and products at Verbero and KAV embrace that in everything they do and are exactly what we are looking for in a partner,” said 3ICE CEO E.J. Johnston. “We’re overjoyed to have Verbero and KAV with us in 3ICE and cannot wait to showcase our game and players using their state-of-the-art gear.”

3ICE’s inaugural campaign will get under way in June of 2021 and each tour stop will be played in a new destination. To bring people closer to the game, 3ICE is currently holding a fan vote to decide where the first season’s schedule will take them.
